A WRINKLE IN TIME – End Titles

The end titles for Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle In Time are inspired by stardust and time travel, and the endless wonder of the infinite beauty in the universe. Created with a blend of macro-photography and post-production magic, this sequence is a visual representation of the characters’ journey in the film.

This three minute sequence was created in close collaboration with Ava and her team. Our goal was to create a striking visual experience to conclude this remarkable film.

Our creative directors worked with a mixture of oil, glitter and paint to create fluid canvasses. The naturally complex movement of the fluid and particles looks simultaneously celestial and organic.

Size is an illusion.

We filmed dozens of plates for the backgrounds using macro and tilt/shift lenses, then artfully integrated that footage with unit photography of both the cast and striking visual effects. Blended with elegant animated typography, the sequence moves from one mesmerizing visual to the next.
